A key response by Comhaltas nationally to the Covid19 pandemic was to promote and facilitate events and performances online. This was done on a number of levels, including county by county #FleadhFest videos
In county Laois, this was lead by the Laois Comhaltas county board and the end result is a feature length film (107 minutes) available to view in 2 parts on YouTube.
This film gives an overview of the rich history of Laois – cultural, sporting, historical and geographical – and is a great introduction to Laois for anyone who is new to the county, and will contain hidden gems of information for people who live here.
Well done to everyone involved in this important project, particularly PJ Phelan who as the PRO for Laois Comhaltas had delivery responsibility for this project.
