🛡️ Safeguarding & Conduct
All our teachers are Garda Vetted, and Spink Comhaltas adheres to a strict Code of Conduct for online meetings and social media use, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for all. 🎼 Class Structure & Scheduling
Spink Comhaltas classes are grouped according to each musician’s level of experience. When registering via the Clubforce App, please use the following guide to select the most suitable class:
🎵 Experience Levels
- Level 0 – Beginners who are new to their instrument, including those with limited exposure through primary school lessons (outside Comhaltas).
- Level 1 – Musicians with 1 year of lessons through Comhaltas.
- Level 2 – Musicians with 2 years of Comhaltas instruction.
- Level 3+ – Musicians with 3 or more years of Comhaltas experience.
Some instruments are only offered at three levels due to smaller numbers.
- Beginner – Up to 2 years of playing experience
- Intermediate – 2 to 4 years of playing experience
- Advanced – Skilled musicians capable of playing advanced-level reels and jigs
Instrument Groupings
- Similar instruments (e.g., flute and tin whistle) are grouped together. Students may play either within these classes.
🎻 Expanded Fiddle Programme
Spink Comhaltas are thrilled to have two dedicated fiddle teachers on board! With this added expertise, we’re now offering five levels of fiddle classes. To make the most of this opportunity, we strongly encourage all fiddle players—including our U18 musicians—to register for a fiddle class along with the 8:30pm Advanced Mixed Instrument class. The intermediate to advanced fiddle classes will focus on refining technique, enhancing musical expression, and helping our fiddle players truly shine on stage and stand out from the crowd!
