We are a voluntary group and our mission is to promote traditional Irish music in as cost-effective way as possible. This year we celebrate 40 years in existence and are running a number of major projects accordingly.

To help us to continue our work, we need your support in our fundraising efforts.

To give you a sense of our activity in 2023, which is over and above our normal delivery of music classes, preparation of students for the Comhaltas SCT exams, and preparation of students for Fleadh Cheoil competitions, here are some of our other projects planned for the rest of 2023.

Our next major project is the hosting of Laois Fleadh Cheoil in June 2023, and this will be followed by a series of summer seisiúns during July and August, and a special history of the branch and celebratory event in October this year.

We continue to fund raise for on-going investment in our music instrument bank, developing opportunities for young people to learn music at a cost effective price and to give young people opportunities to develop.  We are also continuing to upgrade our teacher facilities.

Earlier in March, we organised and hosted a very successful Music Festival with Music Master Classes targeted at young musicians.
