Spink Comhaltas will host a workshop on the art of Irish Story Telling on Saturday 6th April in Abbeyleix Heritage House with master Story Teller Dick Beamish.

There are limited numbers in this workshop and the cost of the workshop will be € 15. The workshop will run for 4 hours (in the afternoon).

There is no age limit on this but anyone attending needs to be confident speaking and taking part in a group workshop, so as a guide, age 12 upwards is recommended. This is open to adults as well as junior members.

Dick Beamish was born and reared in the townland of Carrigroe between Clonakilty and Rosscarbery. He is an active member of the Muskerry Local History Society and Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, and has an interest in local history and lore, contributing to journals in his home parish as well as in his adopted Ballincollig. He is also involved in acting, traditional singing and sean-nós dancing and associated events. Dick has been the Fear an Tí on Comhaltas concert Tours across Ireland, UK and America over many years.
